on the topic: Funktionen – immer gut für eine Überraschung [Functions - always good for a surprise]

Abstract (in German): Ziel des Vortrags ist es, (wieder) bewusst zu machen, welch weites Spektrum an Überraschendem das Thema Funktionen bietet, und zu ermutigen, solche Gelegenheiten im Unterricht bewusst zu pflegen, und an den konkreten Beispielen aufzuzeigen, dass und wie Überraschendes im Mathematikunterricht wirkungsvoll zu nutzen ist.

The colloquium talk takes place at 4pm c.t. in room nr. 1090, 1st floor of the Mehrzweckhochhaus (MZH) of the University of Bremen, Bibliothekstraße 1.
Prior to this there is coffee/tee and cookies in room nr. 7140.

Open Campus on June 21, 2013

  • "Mathematics Education: International?"

    David Reid will be giving a presentation in the ZfL pagoda on the green along Bibliotheksraße (at 4pm).

  • "Mathe x anders"

    Here you can experience mathematics and get insights into projects of mathematicians of the Uni Bremen. A 3D-flight-simulator, a Lego-car-race and other attractions invite you to participate and marvel. In the matelier games and exhibits with a mathematical background can be explored.

Universität Bremen offers unique Masters courses in international mathematics education

AG Didaktik der Mathematik offers unique courses for school teachers seeking professional development in mathematics education with an international focus. A full Masters programme is available, as well as stand-alone seminars. Both are intended for international school mathematics teachers who expect to assume leadership roles in mathematics curriculum development and community engagement. They allow teachers to develop the competencies needed to meet the challenges they face.
