Bild des Projekts Safety Control Center: Safety Control Center für ein Galileo gestütztes Verkehrsszenario für autonome Shuttle Busse The project "Safety Control Center" is a collaborative project between partners from industry and science on autonomously driving shuttle buses in Bremen. The goal is to connect an autonomously driving shuttle bus with a control center and to monitor the vehicle's status. For this purpose, such a safety control center will be set up in the Digital Hub Industry Bremen and linked to the vehicle within the project. The status of the bus will be monitored remotely. In addition, remote control functions are to be installed so that the bus can be controlled from a distance if necessary. For this purpose, the partners of the University of Bremen with the working groups Optimization and Optimal Control and the working group Cognitive Neuroinformatics adapt their autonomous driving functions, which they are already testing in other projects, to the functionalities in connection with the Safety Control Center. The industrial partners CGI Deutschland B.V. & Co KG from Bochum and Verified Systems International GmbH from Bremen are primarily concerned with the challenges of real-time communication with large amounts of data, cybersecurity and automated test methods for verifying the algorithms used. TOPAS Industriemathematik Innovation gGmbH is responsible for the project management, the connection of the bus to the Safety Control Center and the test operation of the shuttle bus. The project is supported by the German Aerospace Center (DLR) as project agency and financed by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection.
