Bild des Projekts BESTVILLE BESTVILLE is an innovative mobile tiny-house village that serves as a platform for experiencing research findings from the University of Bremen on the topics of energy awareness and sustainable living. The tiny houses are equipped with a wide range of technologies for generating and storing energy in order to bring those concepts to the public. BESTVILLE also offers a wide range of options for presenting information as well as carrying out simulations and experiments.
The village shows what energy-efficient living can look like in the future and promotes awareness of environmentally friendly solutions. Young people and pupils in particular are focussed in order to raise interest in these future-oriented topics at an early stage.
Thanks to its mobile design, BESTVILLE can be flexibly relocated to different parts of the city or to special events in order to organise science communication and public relations work in an even more focused way. The main location, in the immediate vicinity of the University of Bremen and the Technology Park, also offers an attractive destination for interested visitors who want to be inspired by the innovative concepts and ideas.
