General information

Currently, I work at the Dorrestein Lab at the University of California, San Diego with a joint affiliation at the University of Bremen. Since 2011, I am head of MALDI Imaging Lab (together with Kathrin Maedler) at the University of Bremen, which we founded together with Peter Maass and Kathrin Maedler (website will be ready soon). Since 2010, I am head of the Life Science group at the Center for Industrial Mathematics (ZeTeM), University of Bremen. Since 2010, I'm the scientific director of the small spin-off company Scientific Computing in Life Sciences (SCiLS).

• The ZeTeM Life Science research group develops advanced computational methods for mass spectrometry, in particular for imaging mass spectrometry. The group collaborates with a leading mass spec company Bruker Daltonik GmbH as well as with research centers in Europe and the United States working in proteomics, biology, medicine, and pharmacy.
• MALDI Imaging Lab provides MALDI-imaging measurements for research projects of ZeTeM Life Science group, Maedler lab and their collaborators.
• Scientific Computing in Life Sciences (SCiLS) develops software solutions for data analysis in life sciences.
