SoSe 2023: Evolution Equations and Form Methods

This lecture is intended for Master students with a good knowledge of basic Functional Analysis. Some knowledge of Partial Differential Equations is helpful for following the lecture, but not strictly necessary. In addition, results from Complex Analysis up to Cauchy's integral formula are required.

Topics:

C₀-semigroups and their generators;
Sesquilinear forms and their associated operators;
Elliptic operators with various boundary conditions;
The Dirichlet-to-Neumann operator.
