Jazz and Blues

Playing guitar in the Blues band "3 Hours After Midnight" (1996 - 2000) and the Jazz duo "The 2 Hot Q-Tips", Jazz in Zimmerlautstärke (Jazz at low volume) (1999 - now).
Main events:

• Rocking the " Sommerfest Vorstrasse" two times with 3 Hours After Midnight.
• Playing at the Varietour 2001 in many small villages around Bremen with The 2 Hot Q-Tips.
• Playing in the foyer of the GOP varieté with The 2 Hot Q-Tips.
• Record recording "tuned" with The 2 Hot Q-Tips.

Family

03.2004 married Katrin Kanning (08.2004 at the church)

09.2005 birth of daughter Friederike, hooray!

Scouts

From 1988 till now I'm a scout in the "Bund der Pfadfinderinnen & Pfadfinder (BdP)", Stamm Schevemoor. From 1993 to 1998 I've been the leader of a scout patrol (4-7 children/youth) and from 1997 to 2003 of the whole scout group Schevemoor (40-70 scouts of every age).
During the whole time I've been involved in the education of scout leaders of every age.

Some special scout activities

1997 camp staff at the 19th scout world jamboree in Chile. Been part of a mathematical workshop within the global development village. Topic of the workshop: solving the Dirichlet problem by rolling dice or by getting dizzy.
1998 organized international exchange in Switzerland
1999 "Baumcamp", living on trees. First try in Immenhausen, Hessen on three oaks, medium success (e.g. went back to earth for toilet...).

2001 "Baumcamp", living on trees. Second try in Wüstewohlde, Niedersachsen on nine beeches, great success. Not touching the ground for three days, but having a good time on the trees.
Both Baumcamps in cooperation with my brother Jan from a different scout organisation.
2002 - 2003 woodbadge education on "Projektmanagement in der Stammesarbeit" (how to use methods from project management in scout groups, specially with young leaders, age 13 - 15).
