  • We offer information for high-school graduates about the aims of studying mathematics, professional prospects and other topics on Hinweise für Studienanfänger aus Schulen.

  • Since 2005 evidence for complying with a certain standart in mathematics is required in order to take part in the Bachelor study courses of geography, mathematics, politics and sociology. If your school certificate does not have the required mark, you can take part in a entry level test. More information can be found on the web site of Universität Bremen: Mathematik-Eingangtest.

  • A number of tests about school mathematics can be found on the internet. A collection can be found on our web page Online-Tests, Online Mathe-Kurse und weiteres". These are useful for self-grading as well as for revising your mathematical knowledge.

  • A short introduction to the mathematics course of study can be found on "About us", we especially refer you to the part "Mathematik-Studium in Bremen".

  • Links and information about the different courses of study, lectures and also study material can be found under "teaching". Information about our research work can be found under that category.

  • Some information for first semester students is provided by the course of study "Technomathematik" and for new teachers on the webpage "Studiengangsübersicht" of the "AG Didaktik".

  • The Universität Bremen offers a general orientation week the week before lectures start. More information under this Link.

  • In October the StugA Mathematik invites you to join their information and get-to-know event. This usually takes place for two whole days during the week before lectures start. The group meets at the StugA-Cafe on the 6th floor of the MZH-building in the morning. In a friendly atmosphere you will learn a lot about the course of study, life at University and also the city of Bremen. The actual program: StugA-O-Week.
